Tourist Season is Here...
...And I haven't even sighted in my rifle yet.
When I was at the gun store this weekend a couple from San Francisco came off the cruise ship asking about good fishing spots. The wife was admiring a big wolverine pelt hanging on the rack. She asked her husband what it was and he said, "I don't know, but it's beautiful." Then the wife declared, "It's an otter." An otter?! How could you confuse a wolverine w/ an otter?!!! Sigh, Californians.

Hmmm, well otters and wolverines are practically cousins or something. Don't you see a family resemblance.
They look nothing alike.
Otter
Wolverine
Tee hee hee (Teriana laughs mischeviously).
They're colored differently. Their fur is different lengths. Different sizes, shapes and faces.
I'm sure moose and whitetails are prolly cousins too, but I'm not gonna get the two mixed up.
Seems like it would be difficult to mistake 1 or the other. Probably city folks who have never seen wildlife. (maybe zoo animals)
hello, California Girl here. In my defense....okay fine, I have no defense! ha ha.
When I went to visit my friend from ND, he picked me up at the airport in Fargo and drove me to the little town of Hillsboro, ND. Before we got to his town, he said to me, "here we are..." I strained myself so much looking out the window to see the tall buildings, that to this day he still makes fun of me!!
He took me to downtown, Hillsboro, we were in the middle of the town when I said, "are we there yet?"
I was shocked when the biggest building in town was the courthouse, two stories high...WOW!!!
and yes, I would have confused an otter with a wolverine...just 'cause! LOL
Wow, a two story building. I heard about them in the big cities.
